Minimum System Requirements

We have built a desktop application that provides a Spot experience that is more integrated with your operating system. The desktop application supports Windows and macOS. Other operating systems can access Spot through a modern web browser (we recommend Google Chrome).

Supported operating systems:

• Windows: Spot runs on Windows 10 or later. We do not support 32-bit Windows. We do not officially support Windows on ARM.
• macOS: Spot runs on macOS 10.13 and up. We support both Intel and Apple Silicon natively.

System requirements:

• Integrated graphics should be fast enough to render the world at an acceptable frame rate. We recommend optimizing your office space if you have users on low-end computers (reduce the number of objects, use objects that are less complex, etc.).
• At least 500 MB of free storage space.

Memory requirements (RAM):

• Minimum: 2 GB
• Recommended: 4 GB or more
• If you run several other applications then more memory is recommended. Please perform a test with your required applications and measure memory usage using your operating system’s resource monitor.
• It is possible to use Spot without entering the 3D world and less memory will be required as an effect.
• If Spot runs slowly then it is likely that it is competing with other applications for RAM. Try closing other applications and see if Spot runs better.

Bandwidth:

• Download and Upload Speeds Recommended: 3 Mbps, 1 Mbps, respectively

Other recommendations:

• Speakers or headphones.
• A microphone.
